  • Chocolate Waffle Popcorn

    Film: The Broken Circle Breakdown
    Country: Belgium

    Belgium is famous for their delicious chocolates and waffles. Combine a little bit of both favorites and bake melted chocolate and crispy waffles into your popcorn.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 – 3.5 oz bag of popped popcorn
    • 1 cup of milk chocolate chips
    • 1 cup of broken waffle cones

    Instructions:

    • Melt the milk chocolate chips in the microwave and stir.
    • Pour over the bowl of popcorn and stir along with the broken waffle cone pieces until the popcorn is well coated. 
  • Italian Breadstick Popcorn

    Film: The Great Beauty
    Country: Italy

    This Italian breadstick recipe uses basil, parsley, garlic salt, and olive oil – all of which are commonly used in Italian cooking. It packs the herby, garlicky kick of restaurant breadsticks without the excess calories or butter.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 – 3.5 oz. bag of popped popcorn
    • 1 tablespoon dried basil
    • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
    • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil

     Instructions:

    • Mix together the basil, parsley, garlic salt, and salt in a small bowl.
    • Transfer your freshly popped popcorn to a larger container with a lid, then add the spice mixture and drizzle the olive oil on top.
    • Close the lid and shake until the popcorn is evenly coated with spices. 
  • Middle Eastern Popcorn

    Country: Palestine

    Za’tar is a the most popular spice mixture in the Palestine region. The exact spices vary, but usually includes a miz of basil thyme, oregano, sesame seeds, and sumac.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 – 3.5 oz. bag of popped popcorn
    • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
    • 1 1/2 tablespoons zahtar

     Instructions:

    • Transfer your freshly popped popcorn to a larger container with a lid, then add the zahtar and drizzle the melted butter on top.
    • Close the lid and shake until the popcorn is evenly coated. 
  • Curried Popcorn

    Movie: The Missing Picture
    Country: Cambodia

    Cambodian food uses similar spices to both Thai and Indian food. However, the curry in Cambodia is less spicy, resulting in a more mild taste.

    Ingredients:

      • 1 – 3.5 oz. bag of popped popcorn
      • 1/2 clove garlic, chopped
      • 2 teaspoons ground turmeric
      • 2 teaspoons curry powder
      • 2 teaspoons cumin
      • 2 1/2 teaspoons coconut oil

    Instructions: 

    • Mix garlic, ground turmeric, curry powder, and cumin in a small bowl.
    • Transfer your freshly popped popcorn to a larger container with a lid, then add the mixture and drizzle the oil on top.
    • Close the lid and shake until the popcorn is evenly coated with spices. 
  • Cinnamon Sugar Popcorn

    Movie: The Hunt
    Country: Denmark

    Top your popcorn like a traditional Danish pastry. Popular around the world, those consumed in Denmark consist of cinnamon and sugar/icing.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 – 3.5 oz. bag of popped popcorn
    • 1 cup of powdered sugar
    • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 1.5 tablespoon water

     Instructions:

    • Combine the powdered sugar, ground cinnamon, and water and mix until smooth.
    • Add the mixture on top of the popcorn and stir to coat evenly.
