Selma is a historical drama based on the Selma to Montgomery march led by Martin Luther King, Jr. The film stars British actor, David Oyelowo, as King and depicts his campaign to secure equal voting rights via an epic march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama in 1965.

This cocktail is a based on a classic southern milk punch cocktail sweetened by honey, tweaked to honor MLK.

Ingredients

1 ½ oz. brandy
1 ½ tsp. honey
4 dashes vanilla extract
2 ½ oz. milk
2 whole vanilla beans
nutmeg

Directions

• Combine all ingredients with ice and shake. Strain into an ice-filled collins glass and garnish with nutmeg and 2 whole vanilla beans.
