No matter what your ethnicity or heritage may be, there is one general rule about party-planning in the United States: people love Cinco De Mayo!
Cinco de Mayo is observed both in Mexico and the United States with celebrations that emphasize Mexican cuisine, culture and music. And my party plan is no exception! My tips and recipes below will honor the many cultural contributions of Mexico and history of the holiday with an authentic Mexican menu.
This year, I decided on a MYO (make your own) Taco Bar, from which guests can create their own delicious meals, so that you can get out of the kitchen and enjoy your own party! One of my favorite appliances #InTheKitchen is the Crock-Pot Hook Up Connectable Entertaining System, which is great for creating an entertaining spread for small or large parties. It comes with four different units and is perfect for making a taco bar.
No Cinco De Mayo is complete without plenty of margaritas! I’m sharing my top 3 margarita recipes that your guests are sure to love. Then, finish off your party with traditional Papel Picado for some festive decor. Have fun and happy Cinco de Mayo!
