French 75 is a WW I era cocktail made from gin, Champagne, lemon juice, and sugar. It is also called a 75 Cocktail, or in French simply a Soixante Quinze (Seventy Five).

Ingredients

1 oz. London gin
½ oz. fresh lemon juice
½ oz. simple syrup
4 oz. Brut Champagne
lemon twist for garnishing

 

Tools & Materials

6 oz. Champagne flute

Directions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.

    Add the gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup, and shake.

    Strain into a champagne flute, then top with champagne.

    Garnish with a lemon twist.
